1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Banhoek Chilli Oil (“the Promoter”).
2. Competition Period
The competition opens on 7 April 2026 and closes at midnight on 30 April 2026. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
3. Eligibility
• The competition is open to participants aged 18 years or older.
• Participants must have a public social media profile to enter.
• Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:
• Create and post original content (reel, video, photo, or meme) inspired by their “Banhoek Moment”
• Tag the official Banhoek account
• Include the hashtag #BanhoekMoment
Multiple entries are permitted, provided each entry is unique.
5. Content Requirements
• Entries must be original and created by the participant
• Content must not be offensive, defamatory, or infringe on any third-party rights
• The Promoter reserves the right to remove or disqualify any inappropriate or irrelevant entries
6. The Prize
The winner will receive the Banhoek Kitchen Upgrade, consisting of:
• A curated selection of Banhoek Chilli Oil products
• Premium kitchenware
• A Banhoek recipe booklet
• Cash prize of R2,500
The total prize value is approximately R5,000.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
7. Winner Selection
• The winner will be selected by the Promoter based on:
o Creativity
o Humour
o Originality
o Overall alignment with the Banhoek Chilli Oil brand
• This is not a random draw.
8. Winner Announcement
• The winner will be announced on Banhoek Chilli Oil’s social media platforms on 4 May 2026.
• The winner will be contacted via direct message
• If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected
9. Usage Rights
By entering, participants grant the Promoter the right to:
• Share, repost, and use submitted content for marketing purposes, including social media and advertising
• Use the content without additional compensation, with credit where reasonably possible
10. General
• The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time
