I absolutely love the bite of heat Banhoek’s chilli oil adds to any meal. Whether I’m drizzling it over pizza (over the crust is the beeeest!), sautéing veg (kale especially) or seasoning chicken and fish. It goes best drizzled over a tomatoey pasta - but literally liquid gold on EVERYTHING. Sometimes your meal just needs that extra lift and this oil does just that. I even carry around a teeny tiny miniature bottle in my handbag for when I eat out - I’m that obsessed!
I really like the substantial hint of chilli without it overpowering your food and making you sweat from your eyeballs. The balance between heat and depth of flavour has been struck perfectly.
I also really love the garlic infused oil, to die for!
We live by the coast and fresh praws is always available.... But once I tasted them after frying with this chilli oil a piece of heaven was erupting in my mouth! My life will never be the same!
